2010 Aragon 125cc FP1 Result - Terol Leads Rain-Hit Session

Though the rain in Spain falls mainly along the mountains fringing the north coast - contrary to George Bernard Shaw's assertion - it appears bent on hitting the plain today. The first drops of rain started to fall at Aragon - on the edge of Spain's Meseta, the plain referred to in Pygmalion - halfway through the first session of free practice for the 125cc class, times dropping drastically soon afterwards.
Up until the rain started to fall, it was Bancaja Aspar's Nico Terol who led the way, continuing his strong form of the past couple of races. Tuenti Derbi's Pol Espargaro was a quarter of a second behind Terol, and nearly four tenths ahead of Terol's teammate Bradley Smith, while Japanese rider Tomoyoshi Koyama ended the session in 4th.
The rain is expected to continue for most of the rest of the day, with showers getting heavier as the day progresses.
